Each August bank holiday, the Rose ’n’ Bowl pub in Stacksteads, Lancashire transforms into a slippery, savory arena. Participants don fancy dress, dive into a pool of Lancashire gravy, and twist, turn, and tussle for two-minute rounds. Judges award points not just for wrestling skill, but for comedy flair, costumes, and entertainment value
